Strand-Woven Bamboo: This type is made from compressed bamboo strands that are woven together and then bonded under high pressure. Strand-woven tiger bamboo flooring is often the hardest of all bamboo options, with a Janka hardness rating that may exceed 3,000, outpacing many hardwood species. Its density makes it an excellent choice for areas with heavy foot traffic.
Engineered Bamboo: Engineered bamboo flooring consists of a thin layer of bamboo veneer on top of a high-density core. This design enhances the stability and durability of the flooring, making it less susceptible to warping from moisture or fluctuations in temperature. Engineered bamboo is ideal for installation over concrete slabs and in areas where humidity levels may vary.
Solid Bamboo: While generally less dense than strand-woven options, solid bamboo flooring can still offer good durability and aesthetic appeal. However, it may not be as suitable for extremely high-traffic areas compared to strand-woven or engineered options.
